Charlton's form of government is called Open Town Meeting, which dates back to colonial times in New England. As the purest form of democracy it allows direct participation of all registered voters of Charlton who can, and should participate.
As a Charlton voter you are part of the town's legislative branch and the Select Board is our executive branch elected by us to implement our decisions.
